Engines - Diesel
Diesel engines differ from petrol insofar as there is no sparkplug required and the fuel ignites by spontaneous combustion. They are very efficient engines but can be prone to pollution claims. Whilst common as static engines, most car makers are moving towards hybrid and electric vehicles and so their use is shrinking.
